How it Works
Alchemist combines the adiabatic cooling principle with refrigerant fluid subcooling to increase system efficiency. It is installed downstream of the condenser and/or gas cooler.
- Dry operation: external air is drawn in and conveyed onto the finned coils. The humidification process is deactivated, no water is present and the humidifier pack is dry.
The subcooling readings by temperature probes modulate fan speed to optimise power consumption. - Adiabatic operation: external air is drawn in and passed through the humidifier pack (protected inside the machine). The adiabatically cooled air (therefore at a lower temperature than the external air) is conveyed to the finned coils thus increasing the frigorific fluid subcooling. The subcooling readings by temperature probes modulate fan speed and adiabatic cycles to minimise power/water consumption.

MCC for the Rotor Dynamics Lab (University of Pisa)
MITA Cooling Technologies and technological research in the academic field: in 2015 we took part in the tender for a cooling system of the two engine test stands annexed to the Rotordynamics Laboratory of the University of Pisa: an area of 200 m2 in the San Rossore Protected Park. The result was the installation of an MCC closed circuit evaporative cooling tower.

In 2015 a Cuban brewery needed to replace the ammonia condensation system (NH3) attached to the compressors of the refrigeration units: MITA Cooling Technologies installed 6 evaporative condensers, also modernizing the production process.
Learn MoreCreta Farm cuts energy bill with Mita adiabatic technology
After a devastating fire Creta Farm decided to rebuild and install a cutting edge energy efficient solutionfor the production plant in Crete. The prestigious assignment to design the new cold storage went to ecoRef in Athens. They designed an indirect cooling system with R407F and Temper -15 as secondary fluid using adiabatic Mita technology. The results have exceeded the expectations with significantly reduced energy costs.
